The NMKSO encourages talented and dedicated musicians to audition!
Musicians are judged on musicianship, preparation, tone quality, and proficiency on their instrument. The Audition Committee consists of the Music Director and Principal members of the section(s) or instrument family (i.e. winds). At times, other members from the section or orchestra are also appointed to the Audition Committee. Along with audition recordings (see below), candidates must submit a single-page CV or resumé to Jill Gatz, Interim Orchestra Manager, manager@nmkso.org. Following initial review, candidates may be asked to participate in an interview with the Audition Committee.
Auditions will be conducted virtually via recording submission.
